Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This policy explains how CPB Publishing International ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website, order a book, enquire about our services or submit a manuscript. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Who we are
CPB Publishing International, [registered business address]. You can contact us about privacy at chris@chrisburtonconsultant.com or on 0800 599 9299.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number and any message or manuscript details when you enquire, join a mailing list or submit work.
- Order and delivery details — the name and delivery address needed to fulfil a book order or pre-order.
- Technical information — basic, non-identifying data your browser sends when loading the site (this site sets no advertising or analytics cookies).
Payments
Payments and pre-orders are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To process and fulfil book orders and pre-orders.
- To assess manuscript submissions and discuss publishing with you.
- To send updates you have asked to receive (you can opt out at any time).
Our lawful bases (UK GDPR)
We rely on consent (for marketing you opt into), performance of a contract (to fulfil your order) and legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries and run our business responsibly).
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us operate — for example Stripe (payments), [print & fulfilment partner] (delivery) and our email provider — and where required by law.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required for legal and accounting reasons, after which it is securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email chris@chrisburtonconsultant.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
